FOLLOW ME CLOSELY
I am now a financial life planner with Great Eastern. Many must have been very surprised with this path that I chosen. Not just because they think that this isn’t a job for a fresh grad but… “Huh?? Insurance agent?”- was the most common response I got. Haha. Of course they were also many who were really cool with it and others who approached me for financial advice.
It was quite an obstacle for me to eventually decide on this path as I myself have a stigma towards insurance agents. I believe in insurance protection. Since young, I have been rather aquatinted with the idea of sound financial planning and life protection due to Mum’s influence and also due to personal reasons which I would love to share..
I am sure all of you would have thought of your own goals and aspirations before you decided to do something..Choosing this path, I wish to increase the awareness of financial planning, to educate (hopefully), to create relationships with people and hopefully be a positive impact to people around me. I don’t know how long I will take to fulfill this goal. All of you shall be my judge(:
Financial planning includes things like life planning for education, retirement, etc, savings and endowments, investments, life insurance, health insurance, risk management, business succession planning, financial related advisory and so much more. The team that I have joined is really an inspirational one(got lots to share too!(:) We focus on needs-based service which is helping people to review what they need before following up with recommendations!
Feel free to just ask me about anything and everything. I will gladly offer my help (:

When I was studying for exams, I surfed the internet so often looking for good eats so as to reward myself for my hard work(: With Ochacha and Nabantei down, my to do list still doesn't get any shorter. Friends, you know what to do..Please bare with my pictureless post. I took many pictures today but I thought they were quite ugly and I am too lazy to edit them now.
Ice cream galore
Anyway, our first stop was Ochacha. Like I said in my previous post, I have been wanting to go for green tea dessert at Ochacha. I am having mixed feelings over my visit. Trying only the (tasteless) green tea cotton cake was sufficient stop me from making my second visit. I barely completed my 3rd mouthful. Disappointed but am still loving matcha (:
Second stop: Earl Grey Ice-cream at Canele. Huge scoop of ice cream @$9. I like the first taste of the ice cream. The taste of earl grey scent kind of diminishes as you eat. I guess it's similar to drinking the tea, in which the scent of earl grey is always stronger than the taste? Anyway, the ice cream is too sweet for my liking.
Third stop: Coffee and Chocolate Stout at Tom's palate (after many samples of other flavours). Love both(: Had some samples of the other flavours too and I thought Granny's favourite was nice.. since b&j's choco chip cookie dough was once my all time fave(:
So much for satisfying our sweet tooth.
Feasting at Nanbantei
Cosy Japanese eatery on the fifth floor of far east plaza which serves mainly yakitori but with many side dishes too! The place may be small but they serve a wide variety of dishes. I feel quite guilty now that the 2 of us ate up to over $100 (about 8 varieties). ..and are still far from completing half of the menu. I am hoping to try every single dish on the menu so anyone, please date me out for dinner at Nabantei please!
