FOLLOW ME CLOSELY
I am now a financial life planner with Great Eastern. Many must have been very surprised with this path that I chosen. Not just because they think that this isn’t a job for a fresh grad but… “Huh?? Insurance agent?”- was the most common response I got. Haha. Of course they were also many who were really cool with it and others who approached me for financial advice.
It was quite an obstacle for me to eventually decide on this path as I myself have a stigma towards insurance agents. I believe in insurance protection. Since young, I have been rather aquatinted with the idea of sound financial planning and life protection due to Mum’s influence and also due to personal reasons which I would love to share..
I am sure all of you would have thought of your own goals and aspirations before you decided to do something..Choosing this path, I wish to increase the awareness of financial planning, to educate (hopefully), to create relationships with people and hopefully be a positive impact to people around me. I don’t know how long I will take to fulfill this goal. All of you shall be my judge(:
Financial planning includes things like life planning for education, retirement, etc, savings and endowments, investments, life insurance, health insurance, risk management, business succession planning, financial related advisory and so much more. The team that I have joined is really an inspirational one(got lots to share too!(:) We focus on needs-based service which is helping people to review what they need before following up with recommendations!
Feel free to just ask me about anything and everything. I will gladly offer my help (:

Happy 65th Birthday Mr Loh!
Very very happy because I got to spend some time with loh and the girls. It is when you wake up so willingly in the morning to travel to Tampines that makes you know how much really care about someone (:
My relationship (haha. there aint no better words to use) with Mr Loh, although now great, hasn't been a smooth one at all. I started to train him when I was sec 4 and within a few months, we participated in our first international meet. We trained almost 6 times a week and sometime twice a day.. Our training group grew closer, we become stronger and our timings improved. We failed to go for Sea Games that year but we continued training hard together.
I was on my best form (highly motivated!) when I was in JC 1 and JC2. During these 2 years with loh, I improved tremendously. We girls trained very hard, studied hard, played hard, traveled to compete very often and a lot of time together. We were focused and motivated. In late J2, tension grew between some girls in the group and Mr Loh. I was caught in the middle which I felt had strained my relationship (to a slight extent) with loh and the other girls. We didn't qualify for Sea Games so we stopped training (around Sept) and concentrated on our exams. It was only in late December that I contacted loh again to tell him that I am quitting track.
Got back to running again in Feb when Mr Paul encouraged me to. I competed under wings which started a string of misunderstanding.. Anyway, was back in the national junior squad to prepare for SEA Junior in June. I remember that I didn't speak a word to siaomei, choo and zt even though we were one relay team (in which communication among the team is v important). But anyhows, we broke the national junior record in Bangkok. WOW. This time, I wasn't good enough to participate in individual events :( I was less motivated, more distracted and I just couldn't seem to improve on my pb. I could still remember feeling very unlucky during some competitions. Anyways, we participated international meets together and the team's relationship became more amicable eventually. We qualified for 2007 Seagames (: We broke the National record (:
Today on 6 November 2009, I know that we girls have built up a friendship so strong and I can say very firmly that the girls and Mr Loh will always have a very special place in my heart (:
This morning, Mr loh was all smiles when he saw the 4 of us and especially when he saw ze teng (and her transformation) (:
